I am sorry but some of the images shown may not be of the highest quality, but they are the best that were available
Please Note: Due to the size of this M.V. Britannic feature, I had to divide it into two pages, thus on Page One I covered her early years, from construction, launching, and her maiden voyage. Then we looked at her interiors and exteriors of her three classes, followed by her career of her Trans-Atlantic voyages and cruises until 1939. Page Two Covered her duties during World War Two, and is followed by her post war refit. She then returns to her passenger services with a look, and her interiors have more of a new ‘Art Deco’ touch. We will then follow her concluding days at sea, operating both Trans-Atlantic services and her annual cruises until late in 1960, when she was sold to be broken up.
On this page, Part Three I will
conclude with some special items, such as Deck Plans, Souvenirs as well as her
extensive “Specifications & Details”, etc.
An aerial image of the great ‘White Star Line’ survivor, M.V. Britannic in the 1950’s
The magnificent M.V. Britannic (III) was delivered to the “White Star Line” at Liverpool on June 21, 1930, she was then a three class liner, and she also served during the war as a troop ship, and she was returned to ‘Cunard-White Star Line in March 1947, when she was given a lengthy refit becoming a Two Class very stylish Liner and a Cruise Ship.
Thus she had a number of Deck Plans, 1930 to 1939 Three Class plans, and Cruise plans, then 1948 to 1960 two Class plans and then again some Cruise plans. I also have sectional / partial plans of some of the other classes and some of these may have already been shown with interior images to clarify locations etc. but I will include them here.
This is a general full three class Deck Plan with coloured routes shown for escape routes in case of emergency.

Above &
below: The Third Class deck plans - Decks A, B, C
& D
Being a Cruise Plan the “Britannic” was solely a Two Class ship, as obviously Third Class was only utilised on the Trans-Atlantic market only.
